Bible Journaling Using Canva

Image
I've always desired to combine daily Bible readings with journaling, but I didn't have the means to invest in fancy materials or possess great handwriting skills. However, I discovered a creative solution. Using Canva for my business needs, I decided to design beautiful journal pages and upload them into my OneNote app on my Android tablet. In this blog, I'll share how I accomplished this, hoping to inspire others to enjoy reading the Bible while creating an incredible journaling experience. Lets Get Started! To begin, navigate to the "Create a Design" option and enter "letter" as your document size. Choose "Letter" from the available options, and your canvas will open in a new tab. To add a background, locate the icons on the left side of the screen. Among them, you'll find an icon labeled "Elements." Click on it, and a box will appear on the left side, featuring a search bar at the top. This is your chance to unleash your crea

Heartfelt Prayers

Image
"Our heartfelt prayers go out to the individuals aboard the submarine and their families. The unimaginable pain and torment they must be enduring is deeply distressing. As someone who harbors a fear of suffocation or drowning, I cannot fathom the nightmare they are experiencing—a fate that I would never wish upon even my worst adversary. It is crucial to recognize that these are not mere subjects of amusement or meme material; they are individuals with lives, feelings, and loved ones. Despite any differences in social or economic standing, they remain cherished members of families who may never see their beloved again or have the opportunity to provide them a proper farewell. The crew members aboard the now-lost submarine embarked on that fateful day without any knowledge that it would be their final voyage. In addition to our prayers for their safety, we also hope that each one of them has a deep and meaningful relationship with God. This tragedy serves as a poignant reminder t

Why Can't We Be Sheep?

Image
I have heard that it is considered bad to be sheep. That for some reason if you depend on someone to guide you then you are in some way weak and if you follow the herd then you are mindless and a follower.  But wouldn't that depend on the Shepard you are following?  Sure, if you have no Shepard and you are mindlessly following the herd off the edge of a cliff, I can see why that would be a problem but if you have your Shepard.  In this case, Jesus.  He will lead you only to greener pastures.  He will protect you from death.  When I say death, I don't mean a very physical death here on earth. No, I mean he saves you from eternal death. This place was meant to be temporary. We are not meant to stay forever.  Our rewards are above in heaven.  All the pain and suffering that you seem to have to endure in life means nothing once you are back home.  This will be a distant memory.      While we are here though, we are expected to live a good life.  To do that, I believe we shou

Don't Give Up During Your Giving Up Phase.

Image
The Giving Up Phase Have you ever wanted to give up? I mean not like at small things like learning to crochet or learning to draw but at life? Give up trying? I personally have never felt this myself, but I can't even begin to imagine the pain it must cause to feel like there is no other way. Now when I say "Phase" I don't say that to lessen what someone is going thru. This Phase can last days, months or even years and it can be very debilitating. When we suffer personal loss or heartache or maybe a horrible disease like depression steals your joy from you every day and those around you think that you need to just re-route your thinking then they have never truly been in a dark pit of existence and every time you try to climb out yourself the walls keep crumbling away under your hands. This is not your fault. First, I would ask that you seek some professional advice. If you have depression and the medicine doesn't seem to be doing what it needs to then

The pursuit of material possessions, career success, and personal achievements often leaves us yearning for something more profound. It is in these moments that we must acknowledge the innate human need for spiritual nourishment and recognize that we can find solace, purpose, and direction through a deeper connection with God. The void within us cannot be filled solely by material possessions or external accomplishments. We must delve deeper and acknowledge our inherent need for something beyond the physical realm. Finding Meaning and Purpose: In a world where life can sometimes seem devoid of meaning, connecting with a higher power can provide us with a sense of purpose. When we recognize tha
